Blanket Distribution

2006 - Present

Jan 2019
- Blankets were distributed to 100 poor and unprivileged ones from marginalized and not so affluent section of our society at B block Park, Sector-62, Noida, District. Gautam Buddha Nager (UP). Old and Young- ladies, children, disabled, minorities, migrants.... of all castes and communities made the day. APPL-Trust in association with some of the like-minded residents of Sec- 62, Noida sponsored the event.

Dec 2018
- Blanket distribution was held on Christmas Day : 25th December 2018 , in " Tikonia " Vantangia Village cluster , about 10 KM deep in the forests of Tarai region in Mahrajganj District of UP Total 500 blankets were distributed by APPL-Trust.
- Blankets were distributed at Gidhar (Dist. Basti) to underprivileged villagers.

Dec 2017
- 400 new woolen blankets were distributed to the rural population of Vantangia community in Tarai jungles and to the needy women in areas of Gorakhpur

Dec 2016 - Jan 2017
- 165 blankets were distributed to Vantangia community in 'Sogahi Varba' , a remote and densely forest area of Tarai- region on Nepal-India Border

Dec 2015-Jan 2016
- 480 new woolen blankets and also children's cloth were distributed in Eastern and Western U.P., targeting under-privileged sections of the society mostly in rural / urban areas, women, old and sick, in far flung areas not easily accessed
- 200 blankets were distributed in village Kewalpura Kalan and camp No.24, Vantangia community in Tarai jungles, both in District MahrajGanj
- 260 blankets in village Harraiya, District Gorakhpur. At Harraiya, Mahant AdityaNath, Peethadhishwar of Sri Gorakhnath Temple and Lok Sabha M.P. (Gorakhpur constituency) was the chief guest.
- Also blanket distribution was organized at Noida and Greater Noida in district Gautam Buddha Nagar (U.P.)

Dec 2014-Jan 2015
- 300 woolen blankets and also children's cloth were distributed in Eastern and western U.P.
- In Basti District we had two camps. At in village Jakhani camp (about 1 1/2 KM south from Basti District hospital—it was APPL-Trust’s second camp at this place in recent years), beneficiary were mostly residents from village Jakhani, in Tahsil: Sadar Basti, and also at village Gidhar camp(about 34 KM north from Basti District residents from 4 villages: Arda,Kuchuruwa , Pacharih-Khurd, and Gidhar--all in Tahsil : Rudhauli ,Basti participated / benefitted.
- In Gorakhpur city, we had two camps at Government Blind Inter College, Lal Diggi, where 120 blind students were benefited, and another at mohalla Padri Bazar (North)- both in the city.
- Also blanket distribution was organized at Noida and Greater Noida in district Gautam Buddha Nagar (U.P.)

Dec 2012-Jan 2013
- 370 blankets were distributed in various areas around Eastern U.P., targeting under-privileged sections of the society in rural areas. In the cities, to poor, destitute and needy rural migrants living in slums / river banks at the outskirts of Gorakhpur City, at Padri Bazar in NGO/ state run Nari Neketan, Bal Sudhaar Griha .Also at villages Arda and Gidhar, Basti district and Gautam Buddha Nagar (U.P.)

Dec 2011-Jan 2012
- 250 blankets were distributed in various areas around Eastern U.P., targeting old, sick and poor, widows, scheduled caste/tribes, minority community living in Maleen Basti’s at Madhopur, Bahrampur ,both near Rapti river bank at the outskirts of Gorakhpur City, in various slums in Gorakhpur city and at villages Pachharhi, Gidhar and Arda, Basti district (U.P.)

Dec 2010-Jan 2011
- 250 blankets were distributed in various areas around Eastern U.P. to Leprosy affected patients/community on the outskirts of Deoria City in Deoria District (U.P.), at India-Nepal border in the District of Mahrajgang (U.P.) to Van-TangiaCommunity (a community living in forests and dependent on primarily forest produce), Mushahar community at a settlement in Kushinagar(U.P.) , and at village Gidhar and Arda, Basti district (U.P.)

Dec 2009-Jan 2010
- 275 blankets were distributed. Photos of the events are here for at villages: Ardaa /Gidhar (Distt. Basti), Naushad Bazar at migratory settlements, near river Rapti , Mushahar settlements near Jungle Kusumi, Unnaula ( Bhainsa Bazar), (Distt. Gorakhpur) and at Noida /Greater Noida, Distt. Gautam Buddha Nagar.

Dec 2008-Jan 2009
- 200 blankets were distributed in Unnaula (Dist. Gorakhpur)), Mushahar settlements near Jungle Sikariand Chawri, for both Block :Khorabar,( Distt. Gorakhpur), and Ardda / Gidhar (Dist. Basti).

Dec 2007-Jan 2008
- 150 blankets were distributed in Ramkola (Dist. Kushinagar) and Gidhar (Dist. Basti).

Dec 2006 – Jan 2007
- 110 blankets were distributed at Unnaula (Dist. Gorakhpur), Gidhar (Dist. Basti) and Noida (Dist. Gautam Budh Nagar).
